Welcome to the Monarch Lakes Area These lakes lie at the base of Sawtooth Peak. It's just a little over 4 miles in and is one of the easier hikes in the Mineral King area. The trail passes through meadows and Chihuahua Bowl, named by miners, thinking of the rich mines in Mexico. The footing in some spots can be dangerous, so be very careful. Enjoy!
